A Few Of The Easiest Ways To Minimize Cold Instances

1 March 2010 No Comment

Why do they call it catching a cold? Because it’s during the cold season i.e. winter that you are likely to catch it. Now that winter is here, I would like to spread the word on some bits of advice and tips on how not to catch a cold this winter.

Obviously, there aren’t any fast cures for cold but I can suggest a few things that will help to prevent you from catching something.

You must get as much sleep as you can, not too much of course but the normal eight hours is sufficient. We all know that in the present day and age it can be hard just getting that many. However, without it, your immune system will be left weakened and as a result, your body will be defenceless to any lurking bugs.

So to lessen the chances of catching a cold, get a good night’s sleep and keep your immune system up to strength.

If you have traveled by bus or train or been to a place where there were a lot of people then it’s a good idea to wash your hands regularly. Germs spread around via the most unlikely of surfaces and it’s best to keep them at bay with a good wash.

There are handy little sanitizer foams and gels that can be carried easily in your bag. Take this with you and use it to keep your hands clean. It is especially good in situations where you can’t wash your hands in the normal way.

Lastly, eat plenty of fruits during these winter months. Most of them are loaded with antioxidants and vitamins that naturally fight off the presence of cold bugs. They’ll also give you a nice boost of energy that makes it easier to get through the day.

Hopefully, once you have tried out the above advice, you will be in a better position to fight away all of those nasty invaders!
